Quick question about sound....

Hi, been playing around with using sound on the 150 using the on-board mic as well as a shotgun mic and noticed that when i use the shotgun mic and turn off the on-board i am only getting one channel of sound in premiere. However, when I use both the on-board and the shotgun, i get sound on both channels but there is a slight echo with the sound as well as other ambient noise that i was trying to avoid by using the shotgun. Am i doing something wrong? Any tips as to how to get the best sound output would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Just set both of the channels to the shotgun mic so they're the same

There is a HP MODE setting for the HEADPHONES in the AV OUT SETUP SCREEN menu that switches between LIVE and RECORDING for headphones. Did you try selecting LIVE? That will get rid of annoying delay sounds (p. 93). Also check p.48 on how to set the audio channels, you can do it exactly how you like...
