I'm wondering if the low-light performance of the HVX200 is comparable to the DVX when you are shooting in standard def. I know in HD it doesn't seem to be as good in low light, so I was wondering if SD would help it out.

I'm planning on shooting a live stage show. It will be dark but with lots of bright colored moving lights. I have a DVX100 and I was wondering if I was able to use an HVX as the 2nd camera if the low light performance would be similar.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

If you are planning on using the HVX200P, the difference is crazy. You're better off using another DVX100. If you are looking into using the HVX200AP, it will be a nice match. The low-light and the noise was greatly improved.

Thanks! Looks like we've got the hxv100p here, so I should look for another DVX.
