View Full Version : Firestore offline problems with 2 clips

I used Final Cut Pro's Log and Transfer to offline footage shot on the HVX to the FS-100 Firestore hard drive. All of the clips ingested fine, except two, which say "Spanned" next to them. Under the status column I receive the Red stop sign symbol, and when I choose Retry, it fails again, and sometimes crashes FCP. Any reason for this when the other clips offline without a problem? Thanks.

Do they play back ok through the camera?

I can't play footage from the Firestore to the camera (unless you know of a way), but the clips do preview in Log and Transfer in FCP. I can see the shots are there, but fail upon copying. Please advise. Thanks.

I have a friend with the same problem, except his is on the P2 card, instead of the Firestore. Both problems have this in common - they say "Spanned" next to the clips in Log and Transfer.

I tried removing the checkmark from the Log and Transfer Preferences for the checkbox "Remove Advanced Pulldown" and that worked.

I can't play footage from the Firestore to the camera (unless you know of a way),
PUt the cam in MCR mode, then turn the thumbnails off with the "thumbnail" button. If the camera is set to the same recording mode as the clip is, you should be able to play the clip on the FS-100 and see it play on the cam's LCD.
