Does this plug in allow you to natively edit ACCHD in PP CS3?

Alright I installed the demo, AVCHD will not play in real time. I have an AMD phenom quad core 2.2ghz and 3gb of ram....

Wow, that's too bad, this was looking like one of the best options. Is it at least close, where you can do simple work with it? I am wondering if it uses its own decoder or if you can specify your own (since some are much more efficient than others).
Also, can you tell if it smart renders to AVCHD? That is where it only encodes content that has changed (DV has been doing this for a long time). You can usually tell by dropping a clip on the timeline and it renders MUCH faster than if you make one change to the picture (ex: brightness/contrast).

The footage was viewable, but I need to sync footage to music and this would have made my job very hard to do. It wasnt playing even close to realtime. It was also causing interpretation problems with a project I was working on (shortening the footage interpretation from 20 minutes to 1:21) so I uninstalled it. This was all done in vista, I may try it out on my xp partition.

hmm that's a bummer! It played fine for me with an intel e6600 with 2gb ram on xp. Edited clips played back horrendously but raw footage was smooth as butter! I'm now usng vista64 with 4gb ram and a q9550 and edited clips play at or close to realtime (depending on the number of effects in use).
Maybe you have a driver problem or something?
