I have set up some Ken Burns/ Kid stays in the picture image moves in AE.

They are NTSC DV Widescreen. When I render them and bring them into Avid they strobe and flicker in the high contrast areas. I have rendered out to progressive and interlaced soureces. No Difference. Anyone know how to minimize this ugliness.

The Avid Project is 30i.

There should not be any stobing. Make sure you are using Motion Blur. If that doesn't fix the problem, precompose your comp and nest it, and then apply Pixel Motion to that layer. You will have a render hit, but that will make a hell of a difference.

Have you looked at the footage on a regular TV, or just on your monitor? A standard CRT will most likely kill it as well.

Also compression. What compression are you rendering your sequence out in AE. Avid stations hate Mac's Animation compression. Uncompressed will probably be ur best bet or try rendering out a tif sequence. Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
