I filmed a school play a few days ago and am having trouble capturing the footage. I ran one continuous clip which was broken up at the 2gb mark by the camera. When I go to transfer them to the computer, I get a random mac error message. This occurs even in Toast 9.

Ideas? =X

I posted a question about long shootings a couple of days ago and have now got my hands on a HMC151 and have found two solutions around this issue. Not the specific error issue you have, but when long clips splits into two or more clips.

1. Convert the footage to DVCPro HD with Panasonics free converter.
2. Capture the footage with either an Intensity Pro an new Decklink HD Extreme. IE, use the HDMI to capture the video and audio from the camera.

Solution 1 reatins the timecode while solution 2 dont retain the timecode.

However, i am not sure that the ACVHD to DVCPro HD converter is aviable to the Mac.
