Do you mean mount the HVX200 via FW and then copy the p2 volume to your HDD?
Or capturing SD tape from the HVX?
Have you downloaded the p2 drivers.
Also, what version of everything FCP, OS, etc? On what Mac

Why, did the sellers dog eat the manual or did you buy it of the sellers trunk or what?
You can use both usb or firewire. Connect your firewire..or usb to the mac. I only used the usb (use my pc laptop for offloading normal). Under the "menu other func" you have the pc mode. There you choose either firewire or usb. To offload push the round button that swith betwen camera, mcr, pc mode and so on. Its on the back of the camera. First i think you push it once to go to mcr mode and the hold it down for a second or two and it switch to pc mode. Now it should pop up as a drive on you mac.
Copy all the files of the card to your harddrive and then you fire up fcp and choose import..transfer (sorry blackout..im not on the mac now) under file menu. Its opens a window that you use for the importing of mxf files. Its not the capture window, be sure to choose the transfer one.
Cheers

Gabriel, be sure to read the manual too. If you don't have it, you can download a PDF of it here (ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/pub/Panasonic/Drivers/PBTS/manuals/AG-HVX200APOpsManual.pdf).

For the Mac, you do not need drivers, but you do need to use Firewire. Just put the camera in 1394 Device mode, connect the cable, and turn it on. The P2 card will mount like a drive. Then you can drag and drop the files to the Mac. Be sure and verify the footage before you reformat the card.

You still need drivers for the Mac to see the card. Download the drivers here:

Shane, just to clarify - you do not need the drivers to mount and drag and drop the P2 card contents. You may need them to actually view clips, but I've never done this.
