The colors look very nice. I'd also like to see the uncorrected footage.

hmm dunno.. the image doesn't look very cinema to me.. the color is very video-ish. Don't know if that was your original intention or not..

Stretching the Blacks and Whites maybe have something to do with it. More contrast can give a more "Video" look as opposed to the smoothness of Film. Either way its Video and think its looks great! Just gives us more settings to try out, very helpful.

thanks! yeah, it does kinda look videoishy (sp?). oh well. i was just messing around. seeing how well the hmc colors could be manipulated. i'll try to post the raw so you can see the differences.

My question is.. is this basically how the footage looks out of the HMC? I remember when I first got my DVX years ago, my first clip was also a short movie of food preparation.. the image straight from the DVX was relatively low contrast and showing very good DR, very 16mm-ish.. I was blow away esp coming from a VX1000... Not so blown way in this case.

Isn't that funny... when I got my first DVX I also shot a cooking demonstration (sausage rolls from memory) Yum :)
