Really want to participate but need a pitch!

Hi all. I'm new here. This site rules.

I've been trying to think of a pitch since this thing was announced and nothing! The theme is cool i love sci-fi it seemed so easy! But i'm no writer. Well I can write ok but it seems pitching movies is always so hard for me.


Now I have less than a month and still don't even have the slightest idea of what I should make my movie about. I just won't be able to participate if I can't think of an idea! I want something simple and not technically challenging in terms of actors and production and sets, but it seems a simple pitch is even harder to think of than a complicated one.

I really want to participate in twilight fest! If someone has ideas of any kind, maybe scratch ideas they had, or they just didn't have the time to bring the pitch to life, or they just are the type thats always coming up with ideas, I would be SO greatful if you told it to me!
Or perhaps if anyone has tricks/strategies for coming up with pitches that would help me greatly too.

I'd just wait if you have no idea at all. If you were working on something or had an idea then you might have time. There will be a new fest announced in a few weeks.
If it was me I had nothing at this point I would not even try.

lol thanks for the optomism. Well i have made a pretty decent short it 2 weeks, and i really like this theme! If I don't have an idea by tuesday then i will give up. Until then i'd be ever so greatful for help!

You should read the scripts from Scriptfest II. Some of them would probably work for you.

Thanks everyone. Larry R that script is awsome. (havn't read the second version all the way through, but just the concept is awsome) I really liked the ending of the first one. I thought the story in general had good continuity.
But I fear a cafe will be a hard location for me to secure, and I think currently it uses more actors than I can muster up. I know, i'm kind of a wuss when it comes to production challenges.

No, I understand ... it could be a lot of work to pull off in such a short amount of time.

Glad you liked the first one ... the second one is the same story, but goes a different direction in the second half and with the "reveal".
