So I'm still putting together a 35 package and the next thing is the follow focus.
Does anybody have any recommendations? Any pros and cons? What are some important features to look for? etc......
thanks!

Redrock follow focus has always worked great for me.

I was thinking about the Redrock, it seems to get great reviews and even beats out the competition in price

wait another few days and I think the cinevate follow focus will surprise a lot of people.

I have the Zacuto and the Redrock follow focuses. Love them both!

from the look of things so far, their FF could very well set a new standard. Unlike the RR, sg, and indifocus it's not made up of robotics parts and a plastic gearbox, but custom machined from aluminum with very strict tolerances as far as play and durability.

Zacuto's FF is custom machined as well. So are the new ARRI lightweight follow focus and some other selections out there.

they also reside squarely in the $1000++ category. Cinevate's slated to come around 500-800

True. I think Cinevate has a cool new edge with their 4 week concept to shelf strategy.
However, does the Cinevate FF have built in hard stops like the ARRI? Does it have the easy of gear changing and side flipping that the Zacuto does? Just playing devil's advocate here.

Dennis needs to chime in here before I start filing for a company paycheck
