FYI, a *great* resource for learning to stage a fight scene is the Kerby Brother's DVD "Fight Scenes for Motion Pictures".

Some may recognize the great insights on lighting and other technical matters given on this site by Filmmaker58... (Pat Kerby).
Anyhow, I highly recommend this DVD. It will give you all the insight you need to produce realistic fight scenes that look completely convincing while stressing safety.
I only wish there were other DVDs on the market that so well covered an aspect of filmmaking.
