Have any of you experenced problems with encoding in the MPEG2 format for DVD's using Compressor and DVDSP2. *For some reason my DVD's come out so chunky and blocky no matter where I encode the video. *I edited in uncompressed Blackmagic 8 bit in Final Cut Pro HD in 23.98 timeline so there are no problems with the source material. I filmed in 24pa and used the advanced pulldown removal.*The bit rate that I encoded the DVD material in, is at the most without sound, at 9. *It still comes out blocky. *I have heard that this is common with some people and DVDSP2. *I just hope the problem is fixed with DVDSP3. *I guess we will find out. *Can anyone help? *I will try cleaner next but for some reason it will not export as a *.m2v file only a *.mpg file. Can I use the *.mpg file without having to re-encode in DVDSP2?
you shouldn't have any problem, as compressor and DVDSP2 together deliver the highest standards. you can also try the encoder built in DVDSP, it should work perfectly not too long pieces.
don't choose too high bitrate. there's one common bitrate that should work for most DVD players (8.7 ? ? check the manuals) i'm not sure if 9 is not too high.. so don't catch me on this.
dont know cleaner.. sorry.

Yeah I have tried 8.6 and 6.8 and every combo ever. I am using A-Pack to keep my audio compressed so I can give my video a higher bitrate. I just am not understanding why nothing is working. I have tried the encoder build in to DVDSP2 and Compressor both. To my understanding anyway, DVDSP2 uses compressor in the background when you have it encode for you. Either way I am getting the same results. I am just absolutely lost on this one.
