WHen transfering using final cut.. I seem to be having a problem where it's cutting off the last few seconds of the clip even though I can play the whole thing in the viewer.
I shot footage of a band performing and these last few seconds mean having a song or not having a song recorded =\

I have the same issue. The best current workaround on mac that I've found is to buy Roxio Toast 9 and use the video converter in it. It works well, and the clips I thought had been cut short are actually all there. You can convert to pro res in toast and it imports/edits in fcp fine.
I think fcp 6.0.4 does not handle the AVCHD footage from the HMC150 correctly yet. I'd love to be be wrong on that though because it's obviously preferable to just stay in fcp for the whole process.

I've actually been using Toast 9 now. UNFORTUNATELY.... I've been having problems with that now too. My only problem is that video longer than 30 minutes for some reason crashes and burns
ideas? lol

Hmmm... I don't know about the last few seconds issue, as I always run the camera a few extra seconds anyway. I HAVE log&transferred a number of clips over an hour long each, without crashes. These were all in 13 or 17 Mbps mode.

Was the cam in PRE-REC mode? I wonder if this might have something to do with it.
