There's a DONATE button in the center of the page... unless you want to do some monthly thing (sorry I can't do that right now) you can just click the one that actually says DONATE.

That will take you to Paypal... and there you go. I figure in Thailand $100 - $200 would buy a decent mountain bike... since you can get one here for that.

PK could get a really nice, second hand CBR150 for about $1500usd... which is around 55,000 baht or THB.

$20 in.

4 or 5 more members and we've got the mountain bike covered. 74 more members and we've got a clean CBR150 or clean Bandit model 400. We have a membership of something like 38,000 members. :)

This should be easy.

$30.00 ... done!

that makes $50 in

There you go... awesome!

Hey I'm looking at used motorcycles in Thailand right now. PK could get a Ninja 250 for the range I was talking about a CBR150. For PK's tastes... we should be able to get him back on motorized wheels for about $1K USD.

That would be for a clean Honda 110 or a 2007+ XRM 125.

I can't tell, but PK's blue bike looks like an XRM 125... the "XRM" part means it can do on/off road... which is pretty necessary if you look at some of the roads he rides on.

EDIT: His motorcycle was a Honda Wave AKA XRM 125. It shouldn't be too hard to get him back on one.

Awesome!!! Thanks a lot, everyone!!!!

Believe it or not, along with ZazaCast, Captain Pierce, and Matt's generous donations, we also got another big donation from DVXuser member, spunknoid. How many times can I say it, DVXusers are the best people on the planet!!

You're absolutely right, Matt. Another moped would cost about $1000US. But I'm going to see if a local shop can give me a good price on a secondhand one. Part of me wants to go buy the exact same one I had before, color and everything. Just so the guys who stole it will see they haven't changed anything in my life. PK rides on. Orange helmet and all.

I'll keep you all informed.

DAMN! We do have an awesome community here!

Hey PK I've read that keeping the books straight on bikes is kind of tough in Thailand... be sure you have everything sorted on the papers if you buy second hand. You might want to read up about it, if you're unfamiliar.

I say if we can return you to normal... with the exact same bike... then let's make that happen. It would be a nice thing to remind you of the community of friends you have here... and then the incident will go in your memory bank as a positive defining moment... perhaps one of validation that you're living right.

And for all you know this little time off the bike may have been a positive glitch of fate... maybe a taoist event... of good luck, disguised as the opposite. For all you know the train just went over superman's shoulders and you never even knew it. Think positive. Stay positive. That's your real strength and that's the only truly valuable thing anybody could take away from you.

Got your $100, Jeff. Thanks a lot!!! Between you and Terry, Oklahoma is quickly becoming one of my new favorite places on Earth.

:)

Not sure if I mentioned this but the motorcycle was actually our main means of transportation for Isara. We even had a cart for it which we used to deliver supplies to schools.

But, thanks to all of you, we'll soon be mobile again. We're almost there!

I know it would be PC to say my favorite picture is the FOURTH one... with the kids... but as a many time motorcycle owner/buyer... my favorite picture is the THIRD one... that gives me warm fuzzies.

Awesome dude! What a week! Violation becomes Validation... Vindication... Victory.

Keep on fighting the good fight my brother. (and I gotta' say that the forum blew me away... I can't believe that the members made this happen in less then a week.)

(If this economic trend continues, I'll be getting one of these too!)

The single best post of the thread.

This man has been around bikes and bike owners... it's pretty much the first thing you say when somebody gets a new bike. :)
