Order of Production

Hey newbie question. I have a guy doing audio for me, I know I have to get a picture lock first, but does that mean I need to do all of my color correction and effects. If they don't change the sequence order it shouldn't matter right?

locking picture means no edit changes in time, so post can happely continue as long as nothing is moved or change on the timeline.
