Does anyone have (or have access to) a hospital bed in Southern California? I need one for a scene in my entry. I have a very specific shot in mind...

Plenty of medical rental houses out there, just let your fingers do the walking in the yellow pages.

I shot my entire entry in a hospital room, provided free (see some BTS at my thread). Contact the media relations person in the marketing dept. of some local hospitals and see if they support this, or have some sort of training "mockup" room you could use for a bit.

If you know a hospital employee who can give you an in, even better. You won't know til you ask.

You might be hard pressed to find a hospital in LA that will let you do shoot for free.
Though, there is that old, closed down hospital, in Northridge where (I think) they film Scrubs... or some other Doctor show...

What I would suggest is to contact a school (The college or high school you attended) and see if some one will let you in the nurses office on the weekend...

You also just might try and obtain the necessary props, and just paint a room and decorate it as you need it... that's what I did (though my set was pretty minimal) but check it out...

Right on. I think I will give that a try tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

Well, I made the call. No response back, although I was told I didn't need to get permission to use exterior shots of the hospital, so at least I can do that.

Turns out the local college is letting us shoot in their medical training room tomorrow. Sweet!
