One of the nice things about the 60p on the HMC150 is that you can use it for good slow-mo. I use Sony Vegas, but I am sure that there is a similar process for each NLE. On a 30p timeline, the process is simple, just slow your 60p clip to 50% and you will get frame accurate results. But what I want to confirm is how to use 60p to get frame accurate results on a 24p timeline.

This of course is a guess, but math tells me that I need to slow it down 40%

23.97/59.94 * 100 = 40%

Can somebody confirm for me if I am correct in my thinking? Thanks.

I use Vegas too! 40% is correct.

Thanks Kurtmo, I would hate to get a camera and find out afterwards that using 60p footage on a 24p timeline can't be done. I appreciate the confirmation.

In FCPstudio you can also go into cinematools and convert the timebase to 24 and then that will do it too..
