EX1 and powerbook

Hi,

I am working on a G4 12" powerbook running at 1.5 Ghz and have 1Gb of RAM.
If I use Final Cut Studio 2 will I be able to do very rough edits of footage from my EX1, in the field, before I get back to my G5 at home?

dont even try....i have a g4 15" with 2gb ram and a 128mb video card, 1.5ghz processor raw xdcam barely plays thru the clip browser, unless its small. and about the only HD it will play halfway decent is h264 720p or sometimes the prores422 low if its a short file. since i got out of SD on a day to day basis, i use mine for media ingest from the SxS to the G-raid mini drive, and for watching simpsons dvd's :)
