It depends on which one you want. I would assume the big one! :)
The 5800mAh battery for the HMC150 is $164.95 our cost and we are in the process of getting it up on the web store.
Please let me know if you would like us to get one on order for you.

Thanks...easy ordering on your site..about the most painless I've ever experienced...Thanks again.
Here's a link (http://shop2.frys.com/product/5061225?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG) to the one I'll use until the various companies I have battery orders into get in stock/deliver.
It was only $170 and lasts for about 5 hours (assuming you are just powering the camera).
It's a bit on the heavy side though.
AValive has them for $148.20.. I don't know the cost of shipping but they sent my 150 in 3 days and still have yet to open it.

Still waiting on my battery from AValive a week later. Good price.

Update 10-13-2008
I called and AValive was actually out of stock. They didn't tell me that in my previous phone call. I told them I had a shoot this weekend.

Jeff: You called Mon 13th and canceled you said you needed them by Friday Oct17th and we said we had them verified in transit from the warehouse . Since all back orders shipped by yesterday Oct 15th and you were a 1 day ground delivery we could of met your deadline but you said on the phone"you did not want to chance it" and canceled. No problem on my end and understand your deadline concerns.
AValive has shipped all battery orders to date and have 10 left in stock. You can email us or call customer service any time to check your personal status. We specialize in customer service with very short wait times .

Hey Andrew,
Do you ship to Australia, what is the total cost for two of the high capacity batteries + shipping?
Thanks!
Just a side note...
I'm a little confused because I see this particular battery marketed as VW-VBG6, VW-VBG6K & VW-VBG6PPK
Can anyone clarify, are these batteries the same? Can they all be used on the HMC150?
To my logic it just seems impractical for any manufacturer to make so many variants of what seems to be the same battery!! For example I can use my old XL2 batteries on my XH-A1 without a problem.
Anyone have a thought on this?

Get Your batteries at Full Compass. Call Ryan Davis, and tell him me and Shrigg sent ya..
I just got my 150 from them and batteries are on the way and they and the camera are less expensive than Spec-Comm.. I love my 150.. I don't know if they will ship to Auz, but you if they do, you will most certainly get a great deal.

Hey thanks Shrigg, I did look at Full Compass but they don't ship overseas :(
I already ordered & got a super deal on two HMC152 units locally from Digital Video Technologies in Carringbah, Sydney :) There's no word on availability or price on the batteries through them yet, although Videoguys in Melbourne are selling the high capacity battery for $330AUD that's about $205USD!! No wonder people are importing from OS although the fall in the Australian dollar is not helping imports at the moment.

I take it that DVX batteries are not compatible with the 150?

I can't find the HMC150 on the Full Compass website anywhere. I can find the HMC70 though... What am I doing wrong?

I would like to know this too. I have always liked the batteries sold on DVXUser.
I think it's already been said numerous times that the DVX/HVX batteries are not compatible with the 170/150 cameras. The good news is that the Panasonic consumer cam batteries seem to work just fine in the 150. I eventually received my 150 earlier today and tried one of those little batteries (700mA/h) from my cheap Panasonic DVD camcorder and it worked fine :) So I guess all those batteries marketed as VW-VBG260 compatible should work okay...
