the places im used to buy dont have the body only but the kit with lens.

Here you go guys. It is offered at Cameta Camera on their Ebay store in stock USA brand new for $979. I bought my new D300 two months ago from them and had no problems at all.

Looks like the gouging has begun... I just checked Amazon, which had it listed @ 999 last week but did not have it in stock. Now they show the body only @ 1199, through some third party seller.

The D200 had the same problem for a long time after its release, but by the time Nikon released the D300 they had better inventory at release time. (I bought both)

Clearly Nikon wants to sell kits more than they want to sell the less profitable body by itself.

I'm seeing a lot of Nikon kit lenses on Craigslist this week!

i still dont know what kind of card the d90 accepts for dmovie?

and how long a battery lasts in the dmovie mode?
