Hey guys,
I've found myself in a pretty annoying situation. I'm on the road, need to dump footage from my cards to my friends mac laptop, but it doesn't have final cut pro on it.
I downloaded the clip browser v2.5, but all of the clips come up as "no image" and I'm not able to import them to the computer. Surely I don't need FCP to get clips off the camera.....any ideas? Thanks!!

There is a shareware package ImTooMPEG4 . I've used it when a client had only the MP4 files from an EX1 and it was able to read those files both audio and video. Now I don't know whether that was because I had the codec installed by virtue of having FCP on the machine.
Otherwise, my Apple stock would thank you for the puchase of another FCP license.

Hmm, I tried it with no success.
Surely there MUST be a way to get this footage without needing final cut. That would be totally absurd if I did. Are there quicktime codecs that I need or something? Hope someone can help out...Thanks,

No, you've left the folder names alone and they still say "BPAV", no, No?

There is no Clip Browser 2.5 that I am aware of. Are you sure you're not using Sony TRANSFER instead?
If that's the case you need to download Clip Browser 2.0 instead. Transfer is the Final Cut Pro utility.

No you can view them in the Sony clip browser which is a free download.
