Great first look review David, thanks!

Glad to see the ability to next timelines of differnet formats. .. In an ever more mixed world, we've been missing (in CS3) the ability to make a HD product, and then make an SD version in the same project without having to do an intermediary and re-import all the assets.

New encoder looks pretty cool too.

Do you know, will OnLocation be available as a seperate app again? We've got a potential multicamera shoot coming up in a few monthes where we might need up to 3 OnLocation's running simultaniously .. which is a lot of money if we have to buy full CS packages for that.

Great read, thanks for the info.

Just a question. So until early 2009 CS4 will not automatically remove pulldown on my DVX footage?

Thanks again,

I don't believe so, but I hope I'm wrong. It ought to be.

That is correct; until the fix is made, you'll have to use Interpret As.

Also, as was brought up in another thread -- I could have also mentioned the new track targeting.

It will allow you to target only the tracks you want when you bring in material from the Source window, and will also allow precision while editing when using things like the razor tool.
