As promised in an earlier post, here are a few exported frames from the feature film KERBEROS (http://www.kerberosbites.com/). 5 are processed with color grading and the post processing I do to help achieve my final look.
The other 7 are directly from our shoot. As stated earlier, we are shooting on the stock lens. You'll also notice the lack of pure blacks in our filming. This was deliberate to allow flexibility in post.
I also know that these cameras can shoot much sharper footage than these frames exhibit, but... these are my take on creating a final look for our film.
A side note; after doing extensive post on my first feature BLOOD TIES (http://www.bloodtiesmovie.com/), including a massive amount of CG guns and fx, I am thrilled at the greater ease of accurately tracking footage on the much higher rez HD. Just something I hadn't thought about till tackling it.
I'll eventually post a bit about creating the fx for KERBEROS. Current example: 20 seconds of gun mayhem created with over 400 layers of fx, filters, plugins, stock footage, dozens of precomposed layer (yep - After FX!), and maybe a 100 animated masks. After all, it now has to look kick ass at HD resolutions.
Hope they are useful...
