Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about getting a shoulder-form camera under $10,000. Obviously the s270 is too expensive, that's $NZ13,000, where I come from. However, the good old DSR-250 is selling in NZ for only $6,000.

Has anyone owned a DSR-250? What are your experiences with it? Would you recommend this camera?

Regards,
David Morrah

DSR-250 is SD DVcam only. For that kind of money I'd look at an HPX170. That way you can do both HD and SD.

Stay away from the dsr-250, but I bet you can get a deal on a used 2/3" DSR-500 or 450 for under $10,000. That is a great camera.

What is wrong with the DSR 250? I have been using one for 2years.

It is solidly built, and for the money produces very good video. Have you used one or are you judging on what you have read?
