does it scrub it in real-time? meaning there is no red bar or whatever when you import clip?
anyone who gets the update that'd be cool to know. Ppro has a red bar when I open them. Can still scrub, but it's not smooth.

on a 2.2 dual core it's not playing real time. around 18fps. but if you playback at lower quality you can get realtime. or with a newer system.

the scrub is fast, no problem

I have Movie Studio 9 Platinum 9.0a (build 85) which purports to have the same compatibility with M-JPEG that 8.0c claims, yet it is not opening the files as of yet. Even tried a third party M-JPEG codec as recommended by Sony, but no dice. Asked tech support for a recommendation...

There are no render bars in Vegas. It adapts to your hardware and plays back as fast as it can at any given preview resolution.

That's not true. I've been editing mjpeg movies from my pocketcam for YEARS using Vegas once the right codec was available to the app.
