Anyone check this out yet? HERE

It was quite odd. I may check out the next few episodes though. Something about it held my interest. :Drogar-Love(DBG):

Yeah i checked it. I was really looking forward to it. It kind of disapointed me a little. I don't know if my expectations were set to high, but I'm willing to give it about 2 more episodes of a chance.

A few things that bothered me. Was the girl who worked at Walmart and got fired, she was so anoying, I hope they kill her character of real soon.

And the special FX's were so Cheesy. For an HBO production you would think the FX would be alot better.

But, maybe things will get better the next few episodes, I so hope so. I desperately need another HBO hit, since Rome left.

The best part of True Blood, was when it ended and Entourage came on...

Yeah. I'm going to give it 2 or 3 more episodes and then decide.
Seems like there's a lot under the surface of this one. Time will tell.

I really like the premise of this show, but the acting is just not good. Not at all. I'll give it a couple more tries too, but I was disappointed when I watched the first two episodes last night.

Yeah, I don't know how much longer I can support this. I want it to succeed so bad because of the premise like you said, but it's being handled so badly.

I'm actually enjoying it. I don't think the show takes itself too seriously. It's weird/funny.

I'm starting to get into the characters.

Season Three just started up. I wouldn't call this a great show but it sure is entertaining. The end of last season went spectacularly off the rails but the first two episodes of this season have been consistently amusing. It's good, trashy, summer fun.

...one of my favorites shows...

Yeah....last season was crazy. The show can get a bit raunchy though...

I enjoyed Season 1 but Season 2 struck me a a waste of time.

Haven't seen any of Season 3, but knowing my wife they will be permanently burned into the DVR when I get back to Los Angeles...

Agree on season 2. Felt like too many cooks in the writers kitchen.
Big inconsistencies with Sookie's character and how she was relating to her vampire man
and the audience belief suffers for it.

Jason Stackhouse character is pretty entertaining to watch, actor added his own moments to the script but
Nelsan Ellis is stealing the show with his gay rapper character Lafayette - so original and refreshing to watch him balance 'gay' with 'tough'. Kudos to him.

Ellis is also in Secretariat, which is coming out soon. He used to be a US Marine, you know...

All I can think when watching Ryan Kwanten is this guy was born to play the young George W. Bush...I mean, the resemblance is uncanny.

My biggest problem with Season 2 was the whole Maryann deal: I dig Michelle Forbes but the character was poorly conceived, sloppily delineated and just made mockery of the myths upon which it's supposedly based. I found Jessica far and away the most interesting character that season, and I wish that they had done more with her.

I agree. The Maryann-the-crazy-mainad thing got to be a little too much. Michelle Forbes is awesome though, and I'm surprised she hasn't gotten more high profile work. Maybe it isn't too late to give her a Battlestar Galactica spinoff series based on the Admiral Cain/Pegasus storyline?

Also, the scenes with Bill at the vampire queen's place gave me the thought that a vampiric comedy of manners could be a fun series as well.

Based upon what I have seen of True Blood I suspect that for a Charlane Harris vampire, life is nothing but an endless comedy of manners...

I tried to watch this from season 2 (I think) I have no Idea what the hell is going on. I need to rent season one. It seems like a pretty cool show.

Season 2's kind of a mess. Season 1 is IMO much better written.

Apparently the real Ryan Kwanten isn't too different from Jason Stackhouse and quite the c*cksman, having written a sex self help book for his friends that is going to be published--

Yeah season 2 was kinda all over the place, but dammit if I didn't like it better than the first season for some odd reason.

Okay, that was just about the most messed up sex scene I've ever seen. Never seed a girl being shtupped while her head was twisted backwards.

This season is definitely making up for last season. Russell Edgington's final live broadcast monologue was disturbingly hilarious and epic. He's a fun character to watch. Also loved when he was holding the glass jar of his dead lovers guts. I've hated Tara's storyline this season but thankfully Jason put a wooden bullet in that dude. This is the best bad show on TV.

I finally got around to watching Midnight Cowboy, and was SHOCKED by how shamelessly Ryan Kwanten (Jason) is impersonating Jon Voight's Joe Buck. The voice, mannerisms, posture, he copied it to a tee.
