I have been offered and accepted a job starting a new film and video program in Buffalo, New York. Any DVX Users in New York?

Hmmm... I've lived in both places. Snyder, NY and Nashua, NH along with Beverly MA... anyway, you'll be surprised. Noreasters come and go... lake effect is there for good.

Thanks everyone. I am not worried about the snow -- I like it. But my wife probably has no idea what she is in for....

Oh --- you mean the snow!

Hey -- one more thing. Back in the days of American TV having 3 locals a PBS and one near 57 that you had to get to with another dial (remember having to walk to the TV to change the station??) we got Canadian stations in Buffalo. WOW!! Just what a little kid like me wanted to see on TV. They didn't edit their movies for TV. WahHooo!

LOL ah fond childhood memories...

Walking to the TV to change the dial; now that was lame. I had some neighbors that had one of the first remote controls and it was attached to the tv via a cable. LOL

At least you could always find it!

So true! Damn, if I cant find my remote Ill spend all night looking for it before Ill 'manually' flip!

Speaking of miserable weather; sometimes in San Diego we have the marine layer come in and the temp drops down to like 71 degrees. At night we have to wear windbreakers or even a sweatshirt in case its windy.

Total drag.

I've only lived in Florida and Texas...if it hits 70, I'm staying in that night...Too cold for my southern blood! :)

I don't know about Buffalo, but growing up in Mexico City and moving to Chicago was a shocker. I really didn't know the meaning of the word COLD until I spent my first winter here.
You get used to it, though.

Had to quote the whole thing... I'm sitting here right now (thank God I've got a cable modem now!!!!) with ... um ... 1,000 boxes and a bed and 2 TVs. Do you think I can find the remote?

(For those of you who don't remember, I just moved to California. Wife and kids are about halfway in Iowa now.)

Anyway, I've got this GREAT hot tub in the back yard (and two ladies who live across the street...) but it is TOO COLD in the evening to get out of it. They call it the Delta Breeze... drops the temps down to 50ish from upper 80s.

Ah -- but at least is ISN'T WASHINGTON DC!!!!!!!!
