Is there a way to automatically create individual comps for each video imported into my project (to then add them into the render que)?
But just to see if there are any other ideas for what I am doing.... I have about 200 .mxf video clips imported into AE cs3. I need to convert them into another format to edit them in premier pro cs2.
I am on a PC and dont have access to FCP or premier pro cs3.
Thanks in advanced :dankk2:

Select and drag them on the "create a new composition" button
Select multiple compositions in the popup window.

another question...
so ive made them into individual comps and put them in the render que, is it possible to make them all export in the format? somehow copy the output module or create a preset? because right now i would have to go through all 200 and change the output module to what i want...
thanks again!

101,.... 102...,103....,104....,.....
Yep that could be while.
I believe this should do the trick :
- Click on output module >format
- Select make template
- Select the desired format as the Movie default.
The faster way I think would be to capture it through firewire.Ofcourse if the cam is still with you and the material is still on the card.
Maybe someone here can fill in on that ?

Sweet now you can finally get to work.
Dont you need to render the quicktime files in prem or did you make a custom project ?
As you already know there is no support in CS2 so you will have to upgrade to cs3 and dl the 3.0.2 update for p2 /mxf files support.
I heard , on this forum ,that cs4 will have some good support for p2.

was this because I exported it photo-jpeg?

I wondered why you did not export as avi?
(CS3 has great P2 support so expect CS4 to be very cool)

Microsoft DV avi is Adobe's friend.
