None of the paperwork with my HVX201 AE purchased in Europe a few weeks ago showed the Firewire 400 cable included. I had to borrow a cable from a friend witn a DVX 100 a to test mine.
But to get my own cable it looks like a propietary to Panasonic mini Firewire 400 plug on the camera side.
What is the actual technical name of this cable's particular connection that distinguishes it as the exact size connector that will fit into the Panasonic HVX201? Obviously, the other end is standard 400 Firewire that fits into my Macbook Pro.
Because of this tiny camera side connector it doesn't look like something that I can just walk into a typical electronics store and replace.
Most digital cameras that don't have to pump out video just use the USB port.
If this cable is completely proprietary to Panasonic does someone know the authorized dealer who handles this camera in Central Mexico?
Gracias a todos.
