Here's a trailer for our recent production - boy | man.
This very cool little picture will premier at the Lakedance International Film Festival (http://www.lakedance.com/)on September 11th. If your in the area, please check it out.

boy | man was written, directed, shot and cut all by Danielle Jacobs, my partner in Present Day Pictues (http://www.presentdaypictures.com). The cinematography is beautiful, emotional and an excellent showcase for the HPX 500.

This trailer is admittedly vague but the story keeps the audience guessing until the very end and we wanted to give nothing away. I think we're all sick of seeing trailers that tell the whole story.

Check it out!

This trailer is admittedly vague....

Wow! You were not kidding. Pretty pictures though....

At this point, I know there is a boy who seems to likes peaking into rooms, riding his bike, and pretending to be an air traffic controller in empty fields. :)

Maybe a VO or moving text teasing the premise would help.... just a thought:beer:

looks good! I'm actually from Sandpoint (where the festival is taking place), but I'm down at college right now. Too bad I couldn't be there for it. Good luck!

no offense but this trailer is pretty bad. it does not tell us anything about the story and and does not lure the viewer into wanting to see the video what so ever. i wouldn't even know where to begin to guess what this is about. footage looks good though.

+1

I see what you're saying about trailers oftentimes giving out too much info, but this isn't giving us any reason what so ever to want to watch the film. I like the idea of a floating text or VO to help out a bit.

Also, I'd change the title font and "float in"... it's not working at all in my opinion.

So it's been a while... Our little movie has been crisscrossing the country, appearing in a variety of festivals and even winning one pretty cool award, "Best Short Drama" at the International Family Film Festival, right here in Hollywood.

Boy|Man will make its NYC debut at VISIONFEST (http://www.visionfest.com/film_festival/films/2009/#closing) on June 21st. This is pretty cool as it is actually the opening act for the feature "Like Dandelion Dust" Starring Mira Sorvino & Barry Pepper. If you happen to be in the neigborhood and free, check it out!

And if not, here is a NEW TRAILER (http://www.blog.presentdaypictures.com/2009/06/02/the-boyman-festival-run-continues/).

I do understand the trailer though regarding to some reactions above and I DO want to see the short by what I see in the trailer. I see the drama, the distance between the boy and the man and from the crying mother I kind of know what is happening. So it says exactly enough to know where it is going imo.
