Hello all,

I need to add subtitle to a lecture DVD using DVD Architect 4.0. It is very time time consuming and I just wonder if some one can give me some tips and hints.

Thanks

It shouldn't take you too long. I usually prefer to just type the subtitles into word first, so I can have them spell checked, and then just control+c and control+v.

Thanks.

It is actually a very time consuming process for a 1 2 hours lecture. Just want to optimize the flow.

Cheers

Type them in Word (every sentence on a seperate line, break up long sentences over several lines in Word), do the spelling check and save the file as a TXT file. Import the TXT file into DVD-Architect on a subtitle track in the timeline window. Every line in the TXT file becomes a seperate subtitle text event. Just move them in the right position (working from beginning towards the end). Make sure the Ripple Function is On doing this, ik works very well. But it's still time consuming.

There's text transcription software, too. Obviously, you'll have to double-check everything, but it's probably still less work than manually typing the whole thing.
