It looks like they totally misunderstood how RED ONE works though - it seems they're making their judgement based on the live monitor output, not the actual recorded files.
This neglects all the benefits of shooting raw. It's like judging a pro digital SLR still camera solely based on it's jpg images, or more accurately, the live preview LCD.

True, the RED ONE SDI out was meant for monitoring and only offers a downsampled image for preview. You need to use the RAW data for comparision.

They should have thrown a film camera in there and made comparisons using the video tap!

Glad to see the F23 taking the cake.
But the actual design of the test I think was pretty flawed.

Yes, the test is a bit lacking. Also the screen grabs were missing some of the cameras. I wanted to see with my own eyes how EX1 would fare.

I agree. To really do a test, you need an expert for each camera present to make sure you show it at its best.
