I am pleased to announce " There is a man..." A film by Adam McKay and Alex Coulson.
I have just received a phone call from which we have decided on the story for our film.
It is the story of a man who sees another man.... That is all. For now.

Reminds me of a poem I once heard:
Yesterday upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
I met him there again today.
How I wish he'd go away!
Anyway, sounds intriguing ... looking forward to more information and to watch this progress.

Updates-
Unrelated update... my super short, Tango, made it into the finals for Cinefest in Sudbury. I am headed down this weekend to collect my prize...I hope. It's a huge moral booster knowing that I can do so much better then Tango.
Related update: We have secured the main props for the film. Tomorrow we will be polishing the script and casting A.S.A.P. We have learned from our mistakes and have high hopes for this one. Im just excited to be getting something done, the rock to the talk.
That is all...FOR NOW.

Finished the script today, it's running about 4 pages and 7 scenes...ish.
Were going to sit on the script for a week to make sure it's the one we want to shoot, do any re writes etc, then it's on to casting. I think were are going to do a double casting session for this film and one of my other films I want to shoot before the snow comes, which in South Porcupine, Ontario is the second week of October. It's actually -1 Celsius with the windchill right now so...
This film is going to be are biggest project yet, which doesn't say a whole lot given our previous works, but its going to be a good time and learning experience. Chance to get a taste of what it's like directing a child....I mean.
More to come.

Update:
Auditions still not finished...2 roles still not cast, including the main, having my doubts, learned so much already....AHHHHHHHH. We are set to shoot next weekend, which is Thanksgiving for the folk up North which will leave us 2 weeks for post including VFX shoots. Will try and get a little poster made, assuming we can actually cast some actors...more updates to come.
Hectic.

Shooting is supposed to take place this Saturday, pretty much had to do a complete rewrite on the script as well as do everything ourselves, crew, direct, act...hurray. But it's all about learning and this has taught us alot. Should be interesting to see how this turns out.

So less then 24 hours until shooting and no actors were cast. Everyone we had has dropped out for various reasons. So we are acting in it ourselves which is going to make for a much less "professional" film then we were originally hoping for. It's all about the learning I suppose and learned we have.

So sadly I will not be submitting anything for twilightfest. The shoot was awful, and since we were shooting, staring and pretty much doing everything, all the footage is garbage. We may make a comedic doc about how bad the experience was but lessons learned.

sounds like TDRP...just throw a male arse shot in and these guys will eat out of the palm of your hands, especially those Fat Monster boys.
