Hi ive tried authoring an audio CD from within the Vegas Timeline before.
But id like to know how i can make the audio level of all the tracks turn out equal without ruining the quality of any of them. I tried the normailze tracks function when burng from NERO but it seems to dempen the sound of some of the tracks too much and i still found differences in volume. Is there a way i an do this within the Vegas timeline so that all the tracks on the burned CD sound similar in volume when played on a normal CD player.

The best thing to do is normalize on the timeline. You can normalize all the clips by selecting them all and then right-clicking (Switches) -- but then you'll probably want to check each one. Use the levels meters to keep them all in the same range, using the gain control in each clip, or a volume envelope.
