I can't seem to find anywhere the number of contacts on a P2 card....anyone know?

Hello Eric,
It is standard Cardbus connection protocal. I think it's 74 pins if I remember correctly. Don't forget about the grounding strip on the top side of the connector. It connects directly to the circuit board and the chassis.
