Well, I've been watching Das Boot. The German version I have is around 5 hrs long, but maybe it's closer to 4 &1/2, I haven't timed it. The 'only' movie that long that I've ever been able to stay interested in throughout.
I never get tired of Jaws 1 also.

I always watch those when I see them on TV. Not necessarily my favorite films but they don't grow old.

I concur on Fight Club and Pulp Fiction. Also Saving Private Ryan and most Spielberg movies. Forrest Gump, any of the Back to the Future movies... actually pretty much anything Robert Zemeckis directed I would stop channel surfing for. I Wanna Hold Your Hand I have never seen, and Romancing the Stone I've only partially seen on television, but I've truly enjoyed, in one way or another, every one of his films.
And of course, the obligatory Star Wars movies, and most of the Star Trek ones.

A little bit off topic, but I've always been struck how "timeless" E.T. is. I have not seen it in a while, but I know YEARS after it was made, I would see it and think, man, the clothes still seem pretty current, the bike still seems like something you would see on the street today, the relationship of the mother to her kids still relevant and realistic, they still make that candy, the dialog still sounds like you would expect to hear now...
I love that about that movie. It never seems old to me or dated. Even now.
Ryan Patrick O'Hara

Fight Club
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (always something really cool going on visually or story)
Rushmore
The 5th Element
Boondock Saints
Snatch
Blues Brothers <----- A must. Never gets old!
Children of Men <---- always making you say wow. Never seen a movie with my eyes so wide open.
As for ET I just watch the part where they get away, and end up flying over the cop cars. I love the bicycle scene and the buildup to that friggin' awesome moment!!!! Cue the music john williams! As for the dialog, it's been awhile since I've heard "Penis-breath"...lol. Other then that you are right!

Yeah, I don't know what it is about that girl. I spent maybe 20 years hanging with a girl who looks like that and, yeah, I can't watch that movie and not think of her. They are both hot as hell, that's all I can say.

I've got quite a few but here are some that quickly come to mind:
"Christmas Vacation" - good for a few watchings every holiday season
"Independence Day" - not exactly plausible but fun with a cast I like
"Jaws" - the first one. A Spielberg classic with several enjoyable performances
"Spiderman" - all three. A fun movie to share with my daughters
"Rocky" - classic underdog story and a rousing soundtrack
I would also say the orig. Star Wars trilogy but the series loses more lustre with every new addition, animated or otherwise.

These, and others, are literally playing on a weekly rotation in my dvd player. It's a good morning when I can have a cuppa coffee, play with the dog in the back and listen to Billy Crystal talk about the awkwardness of the 'white-man's overbite. :D

Of course we all could list many more but let me give a few that haven't been said yet:
Paths of Glory
Lolita
Dr. Strangelove or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb
2001: a space odyssey
A Clockwork Orange
Barry Lyndon
The Shining
Full Metal Jacket
Eyes Wide Shut
Erez Henya

If I had to pick one, I'd say Message in a Bottle. It's all about the tears.
Don't laugh, but one of mine would be NIGHT OF DARK SHADOWS. For that one, it's all about the house. Just looking at every detail of Lyndhurst is like a religious experience for me. (Can't wait 'til it comes out on DVD...)

Groundhog Day - Bill Murray is a genius
Annie Hall - still my favorite Woody Allen
French Kiss - best Meg Ryan romantic comedy, just ahead of Sleepless in Seattle
Danny Deckchair - sweet and addictive
The Incredibles - the dialog never gets old
Bourne series (like everyone else)
Rounders - Ed Norton character gets me everytime
First Knight - with the late, great Heath Ledger; my kids got me hooked on this
Stand by Me - with the late, great River Phoenix as a kid
Music and Lyrics and Notting Hill - Hugh Grant throws away lines like nobody
Beverly Hills Cop - just the first one, Eddie Murphy with the throw away lines this time
The Italian Job - love that chase scene!
Runaway Bride, Pretty Woman - Julia Roberts fan
Diehard Series - count me in on this one too
The Year of Living Dangerously - awesome Linda Hunt character
The American President - Annette Bening + speech at end
Amelie - me too
Little Miss Sunshine - pushing the van
Dan in Real Life - another really fun Steve Carrell film, but ah that Juliette Binoche...
Cocoon - reliable feel-good movie
Phenomenon - John Travolta totally inhabits this totally appealing character
Good Will Hunting - another great "genius" film that gets me every time
Sherman's March - Ross McElwee first and best personal narrative - unique and funny
any Kevin Costner sports movie - watched every one at least 10 times
any early Harrison Ford movie
I've watched every one of these films at least 10 times, some more like 40-50 times. There's a bunch of other (and better) movies I watch a lot for other reasons, but these are some of the ones that just seem to grab me every time. It's almost always the character that gets me in some way, either because the acting seems so authentic and/or the dialog is great.
One other random thought. I own hundred of DVDs, but I hardly ever pull out the movies I watch a lot. What happens is I come across a movie I like on a cable movie channel and get stuck. Rounders gets me every time - I've always got to watch at least until the part where John Malkovich has the poker showdown with Matt Damon and talks in that ridiculous attempt at a Russian accent.
Fun thread!

Pretty much anything with Clint Eastwood and most any good Western. But more specifically "the man with no name" trilogy.
Fist Full of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
If I catch any one of these movies on while I am channel surfing, I am screwed. There is no chance I get anything productive done until its over.

Zodiac. Most people can't even stand to watch it once. I love this film. I recently bought the 2 disc director's cut and have been watching it every day since, and I'd already seen the film at least ten times. I think it goes by fast for 162 minutes. Same thing goes for There Will Be Blood. Which reminds me...
There Will Be Blood. God I love this film. It may be a relatively new film, but it's already a top ten favorite of mine.
Mutual Appreciation. Bujalski's script is great, and the acting is very natural and believable. Definitely the best "mumblecore" movie I've seen.

How nice to see that. I thought only composers pick their movies based on who scored them!
Barry is a living legend, and I wonder how can he possibly spend his days without writing, orchestrating or conducting anything. Like myself, it seems that for Barry music was always far more than a career. Maybe I should write to him...

The Fountain
Evil Dead (all three)
Die Hard (1+3)
Mortal Kombat
Casino Royale (New one)
300
Batman Begins
Crank
DOA
Escape From New York + L.A.
Eurotrip
Shaun of the Dead
Hot Fuzz
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Pirates Trilogy
Matrix Trilogy
Requiem for a Dream
Smokin' Aces
Lion King (Best Disney Movie ever)
There are loads more, those are just the ones that caught my eye looking at the movies I own.
I wanted to quote this because I had a few similar, like Crank is absolutely awesome, if you want to get energized and motivated, forget Red Bull or 5-hour energy shots or cigarettes, watch Crank!!! That movie pumps me up like drinking a case of Red Bull, hahaha. I love it. Also 300 is totally awesome, I can watch that a lot.
While I wouldn't put Eurotrip there, it's good not great, Roadtrip is a great film I've seen at least a dozen times. I love that movie, I never get tired of watching it, one of the funniest movies ever.
I don't get The Fountain, though, and I majored in philosophy! I just didn't like it. I thought it was boring, even though it was short, and it was just annoying in general. I made the mistake of buying it on Blu-ray without having seen it because a few friends said how great it was. It's the worst movie I have on Blu-ray unfortunately.

Really? Though honestly that doesn't surprise me. I know a lot of people who don't like The Fountain. It's probably my favorite movie if I absolutely had to pick one. Darren and Clint make one of the best duo's in the film industry. I love the story and the score is in my top 5. It's a matter of opinion i guess.

Yeah don't get me wrong I didn't hate it, I really wanted to like it... I just didn't think it was that good. Visually I enjoyed it, also the story of how long it took to get made, the challenges they went through, that was interesting. I guess maybe I just don't understand it well enough, my friend Bryan loves it, it's one of his favorites, and he LOVES Darren's work. I really don't so much. I felt Pi was good, it was simple but it was pretty good. I didn't love it, it was just good. I thought Requiem was useless pretty much. Most of my friends think it's amazing, but for different reasons. Bryan loves it, of course, but my friend Matt says it's a "screwed up movie" but you have to watch it once because it's so depressing and it's powerful and all of this. I didn't find it depressing at all, I didn't care about any of the characters, I wanted them all to die basically, they weren't sympathetic to me, just losers. I didn't feel sorry for them, I didn't like them, I didn't have anything in common with them, so ultimately I just was bored the entire time.
The Fountain had a haunting score, I did like that, and some of the visuals were pretty neat. It was a strange movie, one that I felt as though I wanted to like, but ultimately I wasn't able to connect with it. I'm not a love story fan either, though, I pretty much hate that kind of film, and so since it was I guess this ultimate love story that didn't appeal to me. Somehow it was supposed to be a manlier love story? I don't really know. It had parts I liked, but as a whole it didn't work for me.

...I wouldn't put Eurotrip there...
Actually, seeing Eurotrip on the list made me giggle for a second. I originally thought it's the kind of thread where you post your individual list of masterpieces, but then I realized it's more into the direction of films you just enjoy watching over and over again.
Probably like Ezekiel667, I too find Eurotrip hilarious, so why not?
I would also recommend Rat Race if we're already at comedies. That's an insane one!

Just finished the Godfather series tonight, second time seeing it. A classic that any filmmaker should study. Everything done right.
The Last Picture Show - the definition of an ensemble cast
Apocalypse Now if you can stand the ending. Visually wonderful.
The Good Bad and Ugly movies just because they made camp into a real serious genre!
The Unforgiven...my favorite western of all time.
Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin films. Shows what you can do without sound! See "One Week" about Keaton putting together a house in a week. A very funny film.
Citizen Kane.. of course.
The Third Man...better than Citizen Kane IMHO...tautest thriller of all time. Script, Acting, B&W filming at it's best...
The 39 Steps by Hitchcock.
Casablanca...maybe the greatest film of the last 100 years. Always entertaining...
Henry V by Kenneth Branagh. Great cast. Fabulous acting. Spectacular scenes.
Bladerunner...
from Europe I would add "The Conformist"
Probably Avatar, but it seems too soon to put it in a greatest of all time..

"Greatest films of all time" is a pretty broad and hard to define category.
The title of the thread is movies you never get tired of watching ... I think that's a little safer as each person's opinions don't have to conflict with anyone else.

I was gonna put in Army of Shadows, killer film, but I can't watch it more than a couple of times a month. Yet I think Army of Shadows was one of the greatest films ever made.
The Terminal, not so much, but I watched that thing on repeat for months (for some reason, can't remember why, liked gupta, thought the girl and her entire part should be burned, but I watched, again and again and again. I think I was missing new york).
Yeah there's a big difference between kick-ass movies and ones that you can watch over and over. Eternal Sunshine was good, but I can't handle watching that a lot of times.

Raising Arizona - cuz it's hilarious
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation - family fav
Children of Men - the single-take scenes are captivating
Amélie - most beautifully photographed movie, IMHO (BRD was hard to get a hold of!)

Time Crimes - the only time travel movie that follows the rules
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - personal fav
Shaun of the Dead - the funnest movie to watch
Little Children - I have a crush on Kate Winslet

I think that one of my new movies I will never tire of watching is gonna be The Expendables. Still too early to know for sure. Inception might be one as well.
* There were three summers in a row, when I was around 10-12 years old where I watched these three films every day. Summer number one, it was Rambo II everyday that entire summer off from elementary school. The next summer, it was Rambo III everyday. Then the summer after that, Predator. I was an odd child.
All three except for Rambo II were crappy VHS dubs from TV. Rambo II was the first film I ever bought with my own money. I bought it on VHS from a Suncoast Motion Picture Company store in the mall, with earnings from grass mowing jobs in my neighborhood.
