Does anyone on here subscribe to any trade magazines? Just wondering if anybody can recommend any good ones that are out there.

I subscribe to American Cinematographer, which is a little high-end for me, but very informative.
Filmmaker Magazine is a good read, but I suggest getting it free with an IFP Membership, since there are so many other bonuses, too.

Good stuff and most are free if you're in the business. Although I feel their reviews are a little too biased/nice compared to what you'd hear on the Internet.

I really like DV magazine and Event DV too - along with Digital Content Producer (free).

Since Barry Green and I both write for them, I am going to give the plug to HD Video Pro. The reason I write for them instead of the other magazines is that their graphics, photgraphy, layout and stories are superior to most of the other magazines out there. They kind of remind me of the British Photography magazines which are so superior to the crap we produce over here that it's not funny.
A few of the ones above have reduced editorial content so much that the magazine is literally a couple of articles with 75 pages of ads.
The Corrado part II article that I wrote on Adam Cultraro and the film hits the newsstands on the first week of September, it's a pretty interesting journey that Adam went through, shooting in LA.
Best,

That's interesting, do you and Barry write for them on a regular basis?

Not sure about Barry but he has written at least two or three articles for them. I am writing a monthly column for them called Audio Assist and I just finished up a three part feature story on Adam Cultraro and his film called "Creating Corrado". Part 1 was in the last issue, part 2 hits the news stands the first week or so of September and part 3 will conclude the series in the November/December issue.
Other than American Cinematographer, which I have always liked, I like HD Video Pro more than most of the other trades. It's a good balance of style and substance.
