Oh no! All my adjustment layers are now appearing as solids.

Been working very hard on a comp. A lot of layers and effects, including a whole bunch of adjustment layers containing masked effects.

I turned on motion blur on all the layers...and then I look and all my adjustment layers are showing up as solids. Maybe I clicked something else? Or maybe the project has become corrupted?

EDIT: yes, I clicked something. I didn't realize that adjustment layers were engaged by a SWITCH (the half white half black circle switch). And I'd turned them off in the process of applying motion blur.

This is the most complex After Effects comp I've ever done. I still find After Effects incredibly challenging and rewarding and tricky.

you must have selected all your adjustment layers and deselected the "adjustment layer" icon which is next to or near the motion blur icon.

Yes, I think I did that! My heart sorta broke, because I couldn't figure out what had happened and thought I was facing another 4 hours to re-do those layers. After Effects is incredibly powerful. But after a year or so of getting a lot of practice, I'm still just scratching the surface.
