I need help with firm update please

hello, first time asking for help on this site.

I have a HVX200p
I am trying to update the firm ware so i can use the 16g P2 cards tomorrow.

I am trying to format the SD card (ultra two 4.0gb) in the camera.
I put in the SD card in / set the camera to P2 then turn it on.
I then try and turn the setting to MCR but it will not switch with the card in there.

I don't think you can use an SDHC card with the HVX, you have to use an SD card. In the operating instructions it mentions valid cards from 8MB up to 1GB. I would guess that your 4GB card is what's causing the problem.

That's definitely the problem.
"Multi Media Card and SDHC™memory cards cannot be
used"

You'll need a card at least 64MB to hold the update.
