JVC GR-DA30U footage to MacBook Pro

I'm trying to bring some footage shot on a JVC GR-DA30U camera (my B camera) into a FCP project. The camera manual doesn't explain how this is done, and it is not obvious to me, despite a few attempts.

I need some assistance- Has anyone reading this post used this camera and successfully transfered footage shot on it into FCP? Does anyone know where I can find out how to do so? Your help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like that camera has a special proprietary cable to use -- not just a standard firewire cable. I might be wrong. Check out the manual - page 30 - http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/01/00/LYT1776-001A.pdf
