there is no sound. like when i render it, and it becomes a .mov there is no sound. also could i render it as a .dv?

To be more precise, when you set the file up in the render que, check the bottom left side & click lossless, beside output module, it will open up output module settings pane, where at the bottom it will say "output audio". Make sure that box is checked, after effects has a bad habit of unchecking that little box on its own, causing exported video with no sound,

Step away from the export. Learn to use the render que.

export = bad
render que = good
