HVX buttons not working

I've had the HVX for over a year now and just started having serious problems with it. None of the playback buttons on the top of the camera work. Also the button to switch between Camera/VTR/PC has stopped working as well. Sometimes the camera won't even turn off. Has anyone else had these problems or know anything about this?

have you ever dropped it or had any damage this is highly rare especially for a years use. how many hours?

Nope, I've taken really good care of the camera. I'm not sure how many hours I've put on the camera, but it can't be much more than 300 to 400 hours.
