just wondering if theres a decent on camera light that could plug into the HVX and go off its power? If not what lights are you guys using for weddings and events like that?

i have 2 zylight z90s wow .mount high a 8in arm and mount the 12v small battery on top inthe 1/4 thread hole. the second light is wirelessly controlled from the one on the camera. the light are programable kelvin scale dialable as well as any color of the rainbow. wow so cool. just bought a little velcro diffuser for it today. the run of any 7.2 to 24v power source. small 12v are cheep and also run my ikan hd monitor. have lots of 12v all sizes.

that looks pretty nice but its above my budget. I kinda just want something that will work without me having to lug around a big beskor brick on my belt.

Small and cheap is the Litepanels micro, although I havent heard many glowing reviews really. Also be prepared for not much punch/throw from these. The falloff with LED's is quick but they are great for closeup interviews (at least my zylights are - z90's as well). They are a sweet little eyelight too if you need to fill in any shadowy areas. Nothing I know of that can actually plug into the hvx though. Nowhere to plug in. If I was working with a limited budget and I need a really versatile light I'd gor a camera mounted lowel pro light and get used to lugging around a big ol battery.

i use the litepanels micro at weddings. it helps a ton, and i'm using a 200. with the 200a it will be a huge difference.

I went for the Bebob, main advantage is it can use the DVX/HVX battery. A nice straight forward light.
