Does anyone have any comparison images of the noise levels of the two cameras? Or even compared to the new Sony EX units?

I posted a noise comparison video in the "first look" article. The noise level is about the same as the Sony EX1/EX3.

I have an extreme low light comparison that I did a few weeks ago.

I saw the article but it appears that the video link is no longer there. Am I wrong? Are the IRE levels similar to the EX1/3? In other words, if you took a shot of the same thing with both cameras in low light simultaneously, and used the same gain & iris settings, would they offer up similar IRE levels?

In 720p and 1080p modes, yes they're comparable. In 1080i mode the EX1 will be brighter.

Hi all, i've upgraded HVX202 to HVX202A, & made a side by side test.
I've set both cams to the same scene file settings & exposure settings.
Gamma: Cine D
F-stop: wide open
Shutter speed: 1/25
White balance: Preset 5600k
Full zoom in for both.
Here's the link to the footage
HVX202Aen http://www.vimeo.com/1539827
HVX202en http://www.vimeo.com/1539934
From my observation, the HVX202Aen produced a much cleaner image than the HVX202en, which i'm very satisfied about. It seems that the "macro-blocking" of the original HVX202 has been solved in the HVX202A.
The HVX202A also render colours that looks more natural; much suited to my like as compared to the original.
Also notice that at full zoom-in, the 202A is wider than the 202.
As with the 202A being half-stop more sensitive than the 202, i really can't tell much of a difference form the test that i did. Perhaps someone can explain this?

I'll post a few more examples soon to explain my point that i can't notice the difference in sensitivity.

I downloaded a couple of pics that where an amazing side-by-side of the 200 and the 200A. I can't post them up because they aren't mine but if you email me I can get them over to you.
