Yes ... another tripod recommendation needed. The good news is that I have read many posts. After my research I would like to use

1. Sachler FSB 6 fluid head with Sideload Plate S (#0407)
2. Miller DS20 tripod.

My concern is (regardless of weight specifications) can this really hold up to adding a 35mm adapter plus other accessories on the HVX. More weight will be distributed beyond the front of the camera.

Feedback is appreciated.. especially those those who have successfully filmed with an adapter.

Thanks!

my bogen 503 head with really nice sticks has held up for 3 years with no problems.

I have a Manfrotto 501 with 525 sticks... and that's working out well for me. It took a bit of getting used to, i'd only worked on crap tripods before, and strangely I had a hard time adjusting to how to use a good one, but I'm getting there now and really love the set.

have you bogen 50x users ever used a bogen 510 or higher. i cut my teeth on 501s and 503s but once i moved up to their higher end stuff - the only way ill use a 501/503 is for locked down work.

the 510 is WAY better for smooth and precise moves

My fav for the larger ones is the 526 rig. If your money is limited, a 503HDV kit will work wonders.
