In an issue of Video maker magazine, as with most magazines that focus on a very specific nook in some subjectmater, there are a bunch of mail order places and the mail order divisions of stores. Now. MSRP for a DVX100a is about $3400+. I found a DVX100A NTSC going for and i quote "2499.99 from Broadway Photo" p.39 + " $2049.99 from Digital Liquidators.com" p.69. I remeber from actually being there, B&H Photo Video (great place for thoes of you residing out side Trisate area), A very reputable establishment, who for the most part has the lowest prices around NY, mail order or not, is selling for $3,495.95. Now im a big fan of old sayings, and "if its too good to be true, it probably is" comes to mind.
What do you guys think? The $2,049 sounds alot better than $3,495, but somehow i feel like i'd wind up with a brick in a Panasonic box, ya know?
help... and if you guys know of a place that will give a good price and good support that would be greatly appreciated. I mean, hey every penny counts, cause theres other stuff to buy, Tripod, Vegas/Avid/FCP, new Computer to run it on, case, Battery etc.......
you guys are awesome.......
Thankyou
