Hi, I just bought a HVX200 and I have a couple questions. (Sorry for my english but it's not my first language).

1) What is the difference between having a 24p recording setup and shooting in the video cam operation type AND having a 24p recording setup but shooting in the film cam operation type at 24fps?

2)I shot a short at 720/24pn and used the dvcprohd 24p easy setup in Final Cut Pro 5.1.4. I'd like to burn it on DVD and keep the best image quality possible. What would be the best way to do it (exporting setup)?

I hope I was clear. Thanks for answering.

As to question 2, what have you tried?

What experience to you have with FCP and DVD SP and Compressor?

My experience with FCP is very basic. I never used DVD SP and Compressor. Any advice? Thanks.

Advice?

Start with the manuals, and do the tutorials.

Then come with questions.

It would be a little hard for responders to type out how to start using an application for someone hasn't used it before.

I highly recommend reading first, and then experimenting and then ask questions.

Get a good book or a basic book and move from there. There are so many available.

I'll do that. What about my first question. I'd like to know because, according to the hvx200 manual, the second option (recording setup at 24p, film cam operation at 24 fps) gives a better film look than just 24p in video cam. Thanks

I don't "see" any difference.

Try shooting both and see if you do.
