I am extremely exited to say that Alex Jeffery will be the lead in the film!
Location scouting is going well! we should hear back today on the status of our schmoosing .. success or not..
Our main prop has been completed for the most part-color not included(seen below)
Our other actors should be committing very soon!

Ryan is the man, and his help on my film sets (as well as the one's I've contributed to that weren't "mine") has been responsible for the high quality and out-of-this-world production value they have respectively boasted, time and time again.

He's a film student at my University and the type of person I looked up to when I was a freshman.

Ryan - I'm excited for this entry! Let me know if you need any help!

Thank you for the extremely warm welcome guys! I hope that i can help to make this fest as good as it can be. And kyle man, thank you for those very kind words, they mean a lot coming from such a talented man. I am sure i can find something for you to do when you aren't working on dead week! Which by the way looks to be an awesome project. ?Hopefully i can help give it some production value!!! But from the looks of those locations it wont take much!
Anyways, an update on the script has been done and is neering completion. On draft 3 now. Storyboards for the opening sequence have also been created. I am shopping around at various places today for costumes and props. Looks to be coming along nicely!

Any idea on when you're going into production?

Ryan Jones
07-28-2008, 03:20 PM
Well I am currently in Fort Worth for the summer, but on the 2nd of august I will be going up to Lincoln Nebraska for the school year. So hopefully I will get to shoot the 23rd and 24 and if needed the 30thand 31st. Keep in mind that this is tentative though and that I still need to get a crew together + equipment + lock everything in.

In other news the shopping went well. I definitely have a great sense of where things need to go in my props dept. and am working on sketches and etc. based on what I saw today. I will probably see what our school has in terms of all of these things before I purchase any myself... since I am not rich.

Alex Jeffery
08-23-2008, 12:12 AM
Yeah, pretty huge news. The hospital location is secured, and Ryan also managed to get amazing costumes from the theatre dept here.

We just made some revisions to the script that, in my opinion, give it a lot more depth.

More news when we have it!

Kyle Stebbins

The location that was secured is at St. Elizabeth's Hospital here in Lincoln.

http://www.saintelizabethonline.com/hr/images/header_inside.jpg

It's not only the place I was born, but also the second largest hospital in the town.
I can't tell you how stunned I was when I learned they had secured this location.

Ryan Jones
08-24-2008, 04:18 PM
Kyle, i had no idea you had a natural birth! I thought you were born from the gods through some super natural power and came upon us through a burst of light only capable of zues himself!

PS Updates on the first page

We just called a whole bunch of places, and they were the first ones to say yes, lol. They were really open to it, and very helpful. So we're doing our best to be as prepared as we can and not waste their time.

P.S. Homer, we'd love to have you on board if you're interested.

Really got a lot done on the shoot today. It was great being able to approach the production from the OTHER side of the camera with Tourniquet. It helps me to better understand how I need to talk to my actors when directing. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it... thanks for giving me the opportunity to play a part! :dankk2:

Guys, we decided to ditch all our footage an reshoot using a different premise.

We think this film will actually be better.

Small update: editing has begun. It's all cutting together really nicely. Can't wait to start really fine tuning it and seeing how sound shapes the piece.

Just a reminder that there are some grabs on the previous page. Scope em out!

Well, I'm sad to announce that Tourniquet wasn't finished in time for the deadline. It sucks because we were really friggin close. We'll post the film in this thread when it's done, and hopefully you guys will still be willing to give some feedback.

Expect it by the end of the week.
