Simple question...

I have an HDTV with a component input. I know I can watch footage shot from the EX1 on the HDTV with HD quality. But if I edit the video on my computer, is there a way for me to watch the edit in HD on my TV ? Assuming that the TV is not plugged in the computer and that I do not own a Blu-Ray reader or burner...

Is there a way to use the camera to view my edits on the TV like a normal Mini-DV camera would?

Maybe my question was not clear...

Is there a way to transfer an edit in full quality back from the computer to the XDCAM EX? My goal would be to watch the edit in full quality on my HDTV using my camera as I do not own a Blu-Ray burner and/or player.

Thanks !

If you mean using your Camera to link between the Computer and the HDTV (Monitor) as you could with a DV camera, the answer is no.

As far as I'm aware, the EX1 won't do this.

Thanks for the answer...

I know I can watch the XDCAM EX footage on the HDTV Monitor in my living room using the "Component input".

Now let's say I ingest the footage in FCP. Once the editing is finished, can I send back the footage on the S&S Card in the camera, in order to plug back the XDCAM EX in the HDTV Monitor in my living room so that I can view my edit in full resolution?
