Hello everyone. I currently own a indicam, its a good peace of equipment. I have used it alot and like it. I am looking for something a little more portable and light weight. I am using it with a hvx200. I wanted to sell it and switch to a steadicam merlin, would this be a wise move? I have seen some videos on you tube about the merlin and I really like the construction of it. It also seems much easier to balance. Any suggestions? thanks guys...

this video really kinda pushes me towards the steadicam, I have not been able to achieve that straight balance with the indicam where you dont need to even hold the camera up with you hand....the arm does all the work...

I have a Steadicam Pilot, which I recommend very highly. It's about a grand more than the Merlin w/arm & vest, but I think it's well worth it.

That Merlin with the vest should work lickety split with the new 170
